I recently wrote to my MP asking why the government has still not ratified the
the above convention personally I accept the part refering to employment by the
MOD.
Today I received a letter to my MP from Jonathan Swift MP Minister for Disabled
people.
Sadly Mr Swift seems to be following all his predecessors
by beiong about as much use to Disabled people as a chocolate teapot.
His reply contained the same old platitudes about improving the lot of disabled
people while ignoring the question of ratification which i s very important in
terms of discrimination across the world.Whilereminding us that they had signed
the Un Convention
which is at best playing lip service at worst irrelevant.
