My husband James and I are in the process of moving to Malta. He is
working at the Intercontinental Hotel as Food & Beverage Director
and as I am 4 months pregnant with our first baby, I won't be
working. I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me some
advice on a few things...
- What is the best way to meet other expats? I usually work and so
meet people through work but as I am not working I am worried that I
won't have the opportunity to meet people. James has been working
in the hotel for a month or so now, and it seems that expats of our
age (early 30's) don't really go there much...I was over in Malta
last weekend and really enjoyed it, but am a little daunted by the
fact that this will be the first place that I move to where I don't
know anyone.
- Does anyone have any recommendations on Obstetricians? I will be
delivering back in London but in the meantime will need to find
someone for check-ups in Malta. I have heard about St. James'
hospital in Zabbar, but any recommendations would be really
welcome. Likewise if anyone knows of any antenatal classes -
pilates, yoga, exercise that would be great too.
