Greetings all.
Since moving to Malta in 2002 I have been living in Birzebbugia and
although I have come across quite a few expats here, there doesnt seem
to be any type of community connection with expats living elsewhere on
the island. Six months ago I opened up an art gallery in Pretty Bay,
Birzebbugia (over-looking the beach) and also started a small art school
for adults and juniors. The classes have an increasing mix of expats and
Maltese. Over the coming summer months we plan to hold open day art
events which I think might be an opportunity for expat parents to meet
each other. Our first kids art event is in Valletta this Saturday (8th)
to be held in the piazza in front of the Law Courts on Republic Street.
The average age of my junior students is 7-11 but I plan to do summer
creche classes for younger ones during the summer months. If you're
interested, come along to the Valletta event and/or pop into my studio
in Birzebbugia for a chat.
