Hi Dave and Annette,

Graham and I would love to meet up with you in November. Even though we
have had a pretty torrid time recently with buying the house, we don't
regret the move one bit, but it is amazing how much you have to learn.
Every day seems to bring something new.

As I think you know, we have a house in Mosta, but could easily drive
out to Mellieha to meet you. Just tell us when (I will be working in
Italy from the 20th November to 22nd, so hope it is not then).

Really looking forward to meeting you both!
Best regards
Susan and Graham

Subject: [British Expats in Malta] Thinking of coming to Malta and would
like to meet someone who's done it...!

Hello,

My name's Dave Rose (59) and me and my wife Annette (54)are
seriously considering moving to Malta. I will also be re-domiciling
my business to Malta to escape the UK's horrific tax regime (the
paperwork is enough to drive you barking mad!).

We won't be able to seriously start looking for property until next
Summer but we're coming back to Malta towards the end of November
and would really like to meet up with a couple, if possible similar
to ourselves, who've already made the move. We just want to see how
it's worked out for you, how you've got on with the local community
etc. We just love the place, it's like having a little Australia on
your doorstep, it's got the same laid-back approach and it's nicely
removed from mainstream Europe, but with easy access to family and
business interests in the UK.

I'll be working as a director for my own business, but my wife (a
highly experienced accounts/administration manager) will be looking
for her own job - if she gets bored she's big trouble!

If you'd like to get in touch please feel free to do so, and perhaps
we can arrange a meeting when we get there. We're looking to settle
in Meliha and will be staying at the Pergola when we get there.

Kind regards
David and Annette Rose
