I did not appreciate your remarks re the UK and what you feel it has turned
into, which I disagree.
Malta has some wonderful people(you and your comments being an exception). Malta
also has crime, violence and drug problems. Although I love Malta why is it so
many Maltese move /migrate to others countries like the UK, suprise, suprise,
for a better life. Therefore the sun and cheap beer is not everything as you
seem to say.

Patience is a virtue!! I (Alan) am 65 in March and wish to retire to
Malta from the U.K. The U.K. pension is very low so will need some

part-time and could not afford the premiums for a private pension.
Hence the need for some extra income to supplement the approx. Liri
200 per month U.K. State Pension. We both have excellent References
from Landlords and Employers.

Grateful to anyone who can help us. I will be over again in April. We
want to escape the rapid rise in violence and poverty in the U.K and
have a better quality of life before we are too old to enjoy it! We
just don't fit into a Society like Britain anymore.
