RE: [British Expats in Malta] Moving to malta.

I live in Malta.

Relocate with you? Yes, but not necessarily enjoy the (legal) right to work
here.

Though the shortage of qualified and experienced nursing staff is, at
present, chronic, I'd advise you to be highly mindful of comparable
contractual terms, conditions, (relocation) benefits and salary elsewhere in
the Mediterranean basin.

Malta is very expensive, so a (British) family life on a single average
salary is unlikely to be sustainable.

Thanks, I have noted this on other web sites. Do you live in Malta. If I had
a nursing job to go to would ny husband and daughter be able to relocate on
the strength of this? I would appreciate any advice.

Note Malta's (seven year?) EU derogation in respect of the automatic right
of 'foreign' EU citizens to undertake salaried work here.

Consult your local EU branch office in this regard.

Subject: [British Expats in Malta] Moving to malta

Hi There,
My husband,18 yr old daughter and I hope to move to malta in
the near future. I am a nurse and I am looking for employment on the
island. This is all new to us and I would be grateful for any advice
regarding moving to Malta ie Visas, work permits etc. We would rent
property. Would my daughter and husband be able to make the move if
they didnt have a job. Obviously they would seek employment once there.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

regards

Lorna.

Why are you moving here? Some things are cheaper but most things are 3 times the cost of the USA price so it would be 2 X the cost for you. I've been told most...
