Letters to the newspapers in support of these two Britons will serve to
sustain pressure on the Maltese authorities to respect EU citizens' rights,
most especially if you enrol on the European Parliament electoral register
by the March 31st deadline.
In this regard, I have included the e-mail addresses of the main English
language newspapers, to all of whom it is recommended you submit a letter,
in separate e-mails, for the attention of the editor.
Ensure you include your:
1) Name and surname:
2) Full postal address:
3) Contact telephone numbers:
A) The Malta Independent on Sunday: ngrima@...
B) The Sunday Times: sunday@...
C) The Times: daily@...
D) Maltatoday: maltatoday@...
E) The Malta Independent Daily: scalleja@...

1)Is Malta breaking European Union laws by charging tax on registration
of vehicles already taxed in another EU country ?
2)If any laws are being flaunted/broken, are ex pats going to be able
to sue the government for their money back?
3)How long are you allowed to drive your UK registered vehicle in Malta
before requirement to pay registration tax, if you are Maltese
returning to the island after a number of years?
The above mentioned tax is very unfair and I urge all ex pats to
support the current petition being submitted by other members of this
group and voice their opinion in the local press.
Regards and looking forward to getting used to Maltese ways again in
the very near future !!!!
