what a skilled person u are hey mate paddy over here in this usa need parts
look up stream liner that the trailer for you happy easter old mother england
loes us still lord hoare cheers if u are coming here let me know
about completed. Its a Coachman We originally bought it to strip for
spares and sell them as i wanted a couple of things from it for my
Van A ABI Vicroy. (Cassette loo, Also a friend wanted the Fridge and
oven) it being a top end van i knew we could get our money back with
all the extras it had on. Any way we went to look at the van and it
had had a bump front and rear also it had been used a a tempory
living quarters and the shower had been used daily so the van was in
a right mess. We bought it anyway as the price was right. After we
got it home and cleaned it up somewhat we had a londer look at the
damage The front and back was totaled and even though they was ABS
the previous owner had bodged them with fiber glass. To cut a lond
(very) story shorter We thoght we could get more if we sold the van
complete for a camper project so put it up for sale. we had a few
people interested and a few came but they wanted to pay only a bit
more than we had anyway then we got one gut who came to look with
the intention of repairing it. He had some good ideas but in the end
he could not devote the time as it would be a long job. So i started
to look closer and closer at the van and also took onboard what the
last guy had said and some of his ideas, I rearly liked the layout
of this van 4 bearth and end bathroom dressing room and only 6"
less than ours but was a better lay out. Well I knew that coming up
i would have loads of spare time on my hands. So in a fit of maddnes
i decided to sell my van and take this one on as a project. My van
was advertised some 4 weeks and people came and viewed but yes you
guessed it wanted a cassette loo, I found one on ebay and did a deal
with the guy for £70 when i got there it was unused out of a 2005
van the people had to have a disabled unit fitted, So i was well
happy, First job was to take the one out of the damaged van and put
it in mine, This I did then mu van sold two days later. Anyway when
taking out the loo i knoticed the shower tray was buggerd this was a
place to start, Thorght i would go and buy some fiberglass as this
would be a lot stronger. I repaired the old one with car filler and
tool a mould from the old one then made the new one. it was not
straight forward at all as the mould got stuck amd i had to repair
the mould and then in the end the finished tray was dull but fair.
Not being put off I fited it and then turned my attention to the
front and back.
Thats the next chapter which i will write tommorow.
