Morning all - I hope you are all well.

Halloween is nearly upon us and this is the groups next event. The
group will be riding the Barry Island Halloween ghost train on
Wednesday 31st October. We will be meeting outside Barry Island train
station at 6.40pm and the train leaves the Barry Island platform at
7pm sharp. It costs £6.00 per adult and £4.00 per child (£16 per
family: 2 adults; 2 children). Fancy dress is not obligatory but is
encouraged (as i will be in Halloween costume!).

The train journey is approx 1 1/2 hours. There will be skeletons
driving the trains, ghostly stories, Halloween games on the platform
(including ducking for apples and doughnuts on strings), fancy dress
prizes etc. More details can be found through the link below.

http://www.valeofglamorganrailway.co.uk/eventsandcalenders/eventpge_tw
o2007.htm

Spaces are filling up quickly so can you please confirm with me by
Thursday 18th October if you will be attending. Full payment is
required when i confirm numbers with the train company so i need
definate 'YES's' as i will be paying for you in advance!

I hope to see you soon (i'm really looking forward to it already)

I've been informed that there's a vegan fayre in Cardiff on 13th
October. It's at the PAD centre at 116 Clifton Street in Roath. Free
entry & free food :) I don't know anything else about it but maybe see
you there!

Hi Bex and everyone,

I'm not sure if there's any totally vegetarian chinese restaurants but according to www.eatoutveganwales.org there are a few that have good vegetarian selection. I haven't been to these myself, but at least Golden House in Roath and Summer Palace Restaurant in Llandaff sound good. Hope this helps,

I'm vegetarian because I believe that now we have evolved to the point
where meat and fish are no longer essential to our diet, there is no
reason we should kill animals just so we can 'enjoy' the taste of
meat. Recently i've started experimenting with veganism (only thing
i'll struggle with is cheese!) because I'm against many of the
practices employed in the dairy industry too. I'm a new member and
only moved to cardiff last week, so will keep looking out for up
coming events

look forward to hopefully meeting some of you then!

Hi

I'm not sure who is going to receive this - I'm addressing it to the
whole group but if it's just you who receives it Bex, please forward.

As you will know from Bex's emails, Monday October 1st is World
Vegetarian Day and the plan is to go to Moksh which is a suitable
vegetarian restaurant in Cardiff Bay, recommended by someone in the
group. You have been asked to email me to let me know if you are
coming, in order that I have sufficient time to book a table(s). So
far I have received only ONE positive reply, and one possible
(depending on vegan meals on the menu).

Please email me by Tuesday evening 25 September at the latest if
you're planning to come.

Thanks

PLEASE SEE PREVIOUS MESSAGE FOR NESSA'S EMAIL ADDRESS. HOPE MORE OF
YOU GUYS GET IN TOUCH WITH NESSA AND CAN MAKE IT TO CELEBRATE WORL

Hi all. This is just a quick email as i am in Hawaii on holiday at
the moment.... World vegetarian day is coming up and the Cardiff and
Vale vegetarian group are celebrating by going out for a meal.
Members have decided to go to a new restaraunt at Cardiff bay called
Moksh. It is an Indian restaraunt which i is divine :-) check out
http://www.craigcartwright.co.uk/moksh/ They do a vegetarian goumet
meal which is just enough for two people for 17.00. The wine is very
reasonable as well. As i won't be around for the event can you please
email Vanessa by Saturday 22nd Sept to let her know if you are
coming. Please do go along as it is a lovely venue and should be a
great night.

vanessa@...

I shall be celebrating in Hawaii by cooking everyone a vegetrain
meal :-)

I won't be checking my emails that often so please get in touch with
vanessa....

Hope you are all well.

Hi Vanessa - glad your coming - will be nice to see you again. I haven't been to the locks before so am not the best person to give directions. Please check out their website for best directions: http://monmouthshiregreenweb.co.uk/mbandacanalstrust/
So far there is only one person needing a lift, and i am picking him up. If anyone else needs a lift or has space from Penarth i will let you know - thanks for that Vanessa :-)
Looking forward to it.

Hi all - i am just chasing up to see if anyone else is joining us for
the next event on Sunday 9th September: a visit to the 14 locks canal
centre at high Cross, Newport. We will be meeting at 11am outside the
visitors centre, where we will head off for a walk around the locks.
Admission is free. There is a really nice picnic area so please bring
some sandwiches with you for lunch (there is a sheltered area if the
weather is bad!).

Please let me know if you are coming along, so i know who to wait for
etc. Also, if anyone needs a lift or has space in their car to give
others a lift, please let me know.

For more info see http://monmouthshiregreenweb.co.uk/mbandacanalstrust/

Looking forward to catching up with you all

Bex
