Railway Condition Monitoring
RCM 2008
18 - 20 June 2008, Derby Conference Centre, Derby, UK
Welcome to the 4th IET International Conference on Railway Condition Monitoring!
RCM 2008
As demand on the railway system increases, efficient asset management is crucial to maintaining a well performing and cost effective railway. To meet the demands of the business, modern asset management techniques are becoming increasingly reliant upon effective and reliable condition monitoring equipment.
For the latest technology developments to be successfully implemented in the commercial environment, it is crucial research and industry come together to discuss the practical applications of the technology and techniques. As the fourth in a successful series this event aims to provide a unique forum to showcase current research, product development and practical experience from academics, railway operators and railway system suppliers. Join us for this conference that focuses exclusively on condition monitoring for the global railway industry. All interested parties are invited to submit papers around this subject. Please visit Call for Papers>
Organised by The Institution of Engineering and Technology Railway Network
Supported by the University of Birmingham and Railway Research UK
Industrial Sessions
Suggestions for industrially focussed technical sessions are also invited. Ideally these sessions should be led by either an existing consortium or collaboration and be of a practical technical nature, perhaps focussing on particular project or strategy. There would be no obligation for the participant to write a full technical paper if presenting in these sessions.
Topics Include:
- Condition monitoring technology of all railway sub-systems
- Intelligent infrastructure and asset management strategies
- Event recording and data logging
- Predictive analysis tools and techniques
- State-of-the-art sensing techniques and non-destructive testing
- Data management, standards, modelling and presentation
- Condition-based maintenance and reliability-centred maintenance
- System management and cost benefit analysis
Prospective authors wishing to present in the invited technical sessions please contact: Clive Roberts, the Conference Chair on + 44 (0) 121 414 4306 or email C.ROBERTS.20@... for further information.
