&     Managing your Clients Therapy Sessions

Some of the challenges faced by the new therapist (either qualified or in training) are …

  • To make `therapeutic' interventions as opposed to talking for talking's sake.
  • To adapt the Hypnotic work for each individual client.
  • To carry out a series of sessions which progressively work with the clients presenting and underlying problem.

Contemporary College will be running 2 `live' therapy days consisting of 4 successive therapy sessions each day with one client including a range of hypnotic interventions and skills. This is a rare opportunity to see how therapy works and how to move from one session to the next, as you would do from week to week with the same client.

You will have the opportunity to see Sandra and Tom work as therapist and client on real live material.

The theme of the approach will be as follows

  • Day 1 - Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and Imagery Work.
  • Day 2 - Inner Child Therapy

More details will follow soon …

&     Parts Therapy. This approach is based on the premise that the personality is made up of different `parts' (Ego states or traits).

The goals in this approach are …

  • To find the part harbouring pain, trauma, anger of frustration and further release empowerment and peace.
  • To promote a more productive communication between parts so that they can be used for the benefit of the client.

You will learn an additional way of working to enhance your therapeutic effectiveness.

This day will give you an insightful way of working with clients and will also give you the luxury of time to explore your own parts in this way. Its different, accessible and insightful for clients.

More details will follow soon …

&     Regain your Confidence with Hypnotherapy

Often when you have finished your training there can be a gap between you setting up in practice and seeing your first few clients (Something we aim to teach you to overcome with our Practice Building Workshop!).

Many times we have heard students remark that when they don't use Hypnotherapy for a while that they lose confidence. Hypnotherapy does require quite a large input from the Therapist and hence the more you do the more proficient you become.

If you would like to brush up on your skills and help yourself to regain your confidence when using Hypnotherapy then this workshop will be the ideal way to do it.

We will teach you …

  • All the skills for successful induction, every time!
  • How to intuitively follow the client's needs and therefore the techniques you employ.
  • How to process the hypnotic work.

And much more.

More details will follow soon …

FINALLY ... We are pleased to announce that we have recently opened our new practice in Bishopsgate, E1. So if you would like to refer someone you know or even yourself for therapy we are now easily accessible in London.
