We're all different and respond differently to a given
event, which surely makes the world more interesting.
My experience of seeing my first client has been that
of high excitement, strong sense of giving and
support, yet awareness that I'm in a professional
relationship and there to add value to the client's
life [as well as to mine, of course!].
Although this topic concentrates on seeing the FIRST
client, these feelings will never change in me
regardless of the number of the client in the order of
attendance. My attitude to coaching has never been
that of a business one, despite the aura of
professionality about it. I've always let things
evolve naturally and observed that the business
attitude would stand in my way. For me, the key is
letting go, thus achieving the desired result by doing
the opposite to the obvious.
