It's been almost a week since I got home, so my mind's settled and I
can write about my thoughts on the Scoil na gClairseach 2006.
I know that this year I've profitted from the workshops mayge four
times more than last year - I was better prepared, knew what was
going on. I also managed to get out with the people more, which is
really great - fot the Scoil allows not only to learn under the best
harp teachers - it is also a great place to meet other people who I
share my passion with. Those are the people who understand what I
feel when I take my harp and start to play.
I thought that maybe, after two month of busking a couple of hours a
dany, finishing up with the Scoil, which is intense to the bone, and,
while being really great fun (and educational profit) is very
exhausting, I'll be a little fed up with my harp and will want to
take some time off - maybe a couple of days...
Well - that didn't proove to be true. I still have melodies of tunes
in my head, still want to play them. I still have the images of the
teachers - palying their fabulous concerts, the intimate, family-like
concerts at harpshool and the bigger, more official concerts in
Kilkenny and Dublin - they moved me. I get up in the morning I reach
out for my harp. I play and I'm serene...
And I am even more happy when I think I'll meet you all at the Scoil
na gClairseach 2007 - because this is the best harp workshop ever -
its timetable filled to the brim with juicy lectures, awsome concerts
and really good lessons of harpercraft :) And I completely adore the
people I met there.
I am honoured that I might be a part of the group that revives harp
tradition of gaels.
Love You all!
