I use something similar, but I use some velcro tape that is intended for use as
cable tiesfor computer cables. I sattasch the contact mic to the Pillar, I play
a Paraguayan style Harp. There has to be as much sound energy passing through
the Pillar as there is through the Body (Soundbox). So it works well, the sound
vibrations are on the wood surface not inside the Body anyway.
I could use it with an amp, but I use it mostly with my electronic tunere to get
a better and faster tune.
