Hi George

Thanks for this. Could you tell me what the time division is, sort of thing?  Would it be, for example, Us 8.30 -9.15, You 9.15-10, Us 10 -10.30, you 10.30-11?

If that's correct, I'll do the setlist accordingly.

Liked the links to Havana!

Talk soon

Hi

Just found a website which has videos of the bar in Havana where I
heard the fabulous music, particularly of the women's band, and some
of the people I met.

The website generally is a pretty good source of information about
Havana.

Enjoy

Hi

Most of us will have known and loved Alan Jeanes, a tutor at CL Jazz
for over 20 years. He is now in a nursing home, frail and with failing
eyesight but perky as ever in his dry way. Jenny Jones and I visited
him last night, and spent an hour or two reminiscing in the local pub -
he still likes his tot of whisky. He would love to see and hear from
CL Jazzers - visiting is flexible -but ring first to confirm.

Address is Elmwood 42 Southborough Road Bickley Bromley BR1 2EN
and phone number 0208 289 7925. He can be confused at times, but don't
be put off.

There is also a plan for a gig in the nursing home for Alan's small band
sometime in the near future to which all CL Jazzers will be invited -
watch this space.

Hi George, glad you had good time in Cuba. I can get plenty of gigs
there playing folk music, especially Bluebell Polka and stuff, if you
are up for it?

Hi Folks

I had a fantastic time in Havana, meeting and sitting in with local
musicians. Would anyone going in the near future let me know as I
have some good recommendations for a family hospitality, a casa
particular in Old Havana( £12 a night with breakfast), a local bar
where you can hear live Cuban Son music all day etc. Also to let you
know what the musicians can't easily get and would appreciate as
gifts. And possibility to take some stuff over for me if practicable.
