Hi!

I am sending this email to former students, colleagues, friends and
contacts. I am going to be coming down to London more regularly to do
some teaching, workshops and writing projects - also because
I miss my friends!
If you would be interested, or know anyone who might be interested in
tuition on a one-to-one, small group or larger workshop basis, do
please email me back. I am planning to be down every 6 weeks.
Also if you have any other ideas for collaboration, projects, sharing
of skills etc.

I have the use of a teaching room by Highbury Fields which is
convenient for public transport though parking is difficult.
My teaching rate is £40 per hour (and reduced student rate) and I
will be teaching jazz/improvisation/singing/piano.

I hope you don't mind me being in touch. It would be really helpful
if you could forward this to anyone who might be interested.
If you don't want to receive another email about future dates please
let me know.

Hope all is well,

all the best, Jilly

Dear Jilly,

Lovely to hear that you will in London at times.

I have been thinking about having singing lessons
recently to sort out one or two problems and would
like to be one of your new/old pupils. I also need
some piano lessons. Sorry to be really cheeky but is
there any chance of a student rate though? I am only
teaching part time, doing supply, as I'm trying to get
some time to push my singing career. Also, I'm doing
supply in order to save my sanity - I was teaching
English in an awful, soul destroying school.

Jilly, I'm career/musically lost and need a mentor -
please help me!!

I will also think about whether or not there is
something we could do, workshop wise etc, that could
make us both some money, if you were interested in
working with me. I did have an idea about self help
workshops though I put that on the back burner because
of all the distracting time these things take.
However, I have drawn up a programme for such a
weekend seminar.

Anyway, let me know what you think an I will look
forward to hearing from you.

love, Kay Sansom (AKA Soh Breezy)
PS. I had piano lessons from you before, if you
remember

Hi

You may not have come across these sites.

A brilliant program that not many jazzers seem to know about. No subscription costs, no hidden charges and recordings can be saved as MP3's.

Similar to above but files are saved as RAM files.

There is a lot of good and varied jazz music here and if you are running Vista the visuals and sound can be saved.

This is good for Chord charts

Sane as above, usually with verses.

Mostly New Orleans charts

Hope there is something of interest here for you.

All the best for now

George (with thanks to Alan Noble)

VIDEO DOWNLOAD from SOURCE CODE

Go to the main menu and click on 'view'
a drop-down menu will appear
click on 'source'
a notepad text window will open with the source code of the web page

then I use the notepad main menu 'search'
and enter the text - or a small section of the text at the video player window.
In this case it was "If you've"
and found the file here just above the text "If you've'
http://crm.zed.cbc.ca/living_in/media/1f6e28522d90502e36aae46016f2c278.flv

to download the file, copy and paste it
into another application that uses active links,
such as an email or MS Word.

An easy way to do this is to send yourself an email with the link.
Then you can right-click and "save as" to download into the folder you choose.
- doesn't always work but worth a try

I hope you will have received my notification about
Lou's Sextet's
forthcoming appearance for Farnham Town council at Gostrey Meadow, in the centre of Farnham.

This is just to say that if it turned out to be a rainy day, the event would decamp to a nearby church....
so rain would not prevent it going ahead

There would be notices guiding people to the venue.

Many thanks

Louise
