Surprised no-one has answered yet ! From recent information (and the
time of year), they can be nothing but Small Pearl Bordered Fritillaries.
The only 'contestant' would be the Pearl Bordered Fritillary, but this is now
CONSIDERED to be 'extinct' that far West in C'wall.
The 'reasonable numbers' also suggests SPBFrits, since they have
come out in sizeable numbers at one or two localities this year. Lucky you -- I
havn't seen ONE yet this year, although hoping to tomorrow !

Hi, Botallack:- at least 6 Painted Lady butterflies on Monday 12 May. Reported on the www.sennen-cove.com website.Sorry I have no further info, Cheers, Vince....
