Big Ideas in Small Places #2

A workshop with Charlotte Hacker

The Ancient Atomism……The Clinamen??!
The Clinamen is by definition, concealed beneath the lowest possible threshold of measurement.
An absurdity a geometric absurdity
A mechanical absurdity, since it is contrary to the principle of inertia.

What does this mean?
A day of performance, exploring, memory, sensation and imagination

Moving from the world to the soul, from physics to metaphysics, from inertia to free movement

And…. Possibly
Find a haven in subjectivity??!

Charlotte Hacker, formerly a dancer with the highly renowned Extemporary Dance Theatre, now runs her own performance company, Company Q. She has created, directed and performed work across the U.K, particularly in the South West. Her most recent work includes commissions for Bristol Children’s Hospital, Dance Bristol and the Arnolfini. She is currently a visiting lecturer at The University of Bristols’ Dept of Drama.
Saturday 22nd July 10am-4pm Pencalenick School St Clements Truro
