Former Associate Artist of the Royal Opera House, choreographer Cathy Marston presents her unique blend of classical and contemporary dance in a stunning triple bill combining music, literature, visual art and fashion.
Before The Tempest… After The Storm draws you into a mythological world where Marston imagines the pre and post story of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. With an original score incorporating extracts from Ovid and W H Auden, the piece contrasts the earthy, primal relationship of Caliban and his mother, Sycorax, with the elegant, ethereal dialogue of Prospero and Ariel.
