The Works is hosting a workshop with CandoCo

Tailor-made one-day workshop run by CandoCo, the world-renowned integrated dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers, offering the opportunity to experience working in an integrated environment with company dancers.

The day will involve

• an exploration of teaching techniques for working with a range of disabilities

• learning strategies for the development of creative and stimulating methods of inclusion for all young people

• a facilitated discussion session to end the day, led by CandoCo and focusing on methods for developing ‘next steps’ and individual action plans

This training day will be a starting point to begin creating successful, imaginative integrated environments. For the more experienced, the workshop will draw out your existing skills and offer new approaches to challenging young people to the utmost of their abilities.

Suitable for youth dance leaders, dance practitioners and educators, teachers of dance and PE in schools, occupational therapists, professionals in the youth service or the health sector.
