A Place in Space involves talented young dancers from all over Cornwall coming together for a night of high quality, innovative dance performances. New and exciting choreography is being created especially for this must see event that will feature the finest dancers from the county’s schools, colleges and youth dance companies.

Incorporated into the evening will be the young people’s Arts Award Ceremony. The Arts Award is the first award scheme to recognise the development of young artists and young arts leaders and is run by Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall, supported by Canon Ltd.

As part of the event the performers will take part in dance workshops throughout the day with Adele Thompson in Truro Town Hall. Adele was a founder member of Stomp’s European touring company and has recently appeared in the Channel 4 programme Ballet–Hoo. These workshops are being kindly supported by Creative Partnerships and the Sue Hooper Charitable Foundation.

There will be one dance workshop that will be open to young people who are not performing in A Place in Space. This workshop will be at 5pm in Truro Town Hall and will cost £3.50.
