AUDITION NOTICE
Kwesi Johnson’s Kompany Malakhi require 5 exceptional dancers, 2 female, 3 male for their next touring production, ‘Boxin’ (working title).
Integrating Physical Theatre, Parkour, Hip Hop culture, Urban, Contemporary dance forms and Film. Applicants should have completed 3 years of
professional dance training. A high degree of agility and adaptability
will be required. Street dance, Parkour, Breakin', Funkstyles, gymnastic skills or touring experience are an advantage.
The audition workshop is two full days on 2nd of June, 'call backs' on 3rd June.
There will also be further three days of research for shortlisted applicants (expenses paid) on 2,3,4 July before the final selection is made.
To be invited to audition please send a DVD/video (pal format) recording of yourself performing/dancing, it should best represent your versatility.
You must be available for phase 1-4
Closing date to submit your footage is Friday 25th May 2007

20th August - 2nd September. Performance 3rd September
Phase 2 Lecture Demonstration Tour
Jan-June 2008
Phase 3 Rehearsal and creation full length piece
Mid July - October 2008
Phase 4 Touring Between
