Hi all

In reply to Johns request for 'late' records for species we did get a
buff footman on 10th Oct. Previous latest records were 13.8.05,
7.8.04 and 9.8.03.
Another late one has just turned up, a black rustic taken on 10th Dec.
previous lates records were31.10.05, 24.10.04, 24.10.03 and 6.11.02.

A nice moth just started, the Mottled Umber on 8th Dec. not that we
get many, 13 total over the last 4 years. Photo posted.

Feathered thorns, december and november moths, chestnuts and red green
carpets still on the go.

Dont be put off by the poor weather, any forecast temps above 5C are
worth trying as long as there is little wind. There are species about
now you will not see at any other time of the year, they will come to
your trap but not your Christmas stocking!.
