Some more firsts of the year last night.
I am showing these records to enable beginners to get an idea
what is likely to be currently, or in the the near future, on the wing. This
will hopefully help them to narrow down their I.D. searches in the books.
Tufted Button {Acleris Cristana} {not common, 3-4 a year} Twin-spotted Quaker,
two weeks before they normally become regular here (NBR), Engrailed 4 weeks
before NBR, Oak Beauty, Red Chestnut 2-3 weeks before NBR.
