Here in Mullion it,s been very slow so far this year, white
shouldered house moth and a twenty plume brought the new year in
since then several more of each in january plus a plume. February
started showing Eudonia angustea, hebrew characters and postvittana.
Sunday night took the initiative and set out on first trapping of the
year at poltesco and took 10 species as follows
hebrew character.....4
march moth ..........10
dotted border........1
common quaker........2
early thorn..........2
water carpet.........1
oak beauty...........1
garden carpet........2
plume moth...(probably emmelina monodactyla but waiting for
verification).
Time trapping 7.00pm.-9.30pm
It made a change to get out and about once again and am keeping
fingers crossed the weather plays fair from now on
