Cornwall Wildlife Trust requires a West Cornwall Reserves Officer
The post-holder will
* Be responsible for the management of Trust nature reserves in its
West Cornwall Area
* Supervise long-term volunteers and contractors
* Carry out practical nature conservation work
* Encourage the involvement of local communities in nature reserve
management
* Work with Reserves Section staff on other projects across Cornwall
Applicants should:
* have a relevant degree and at least two years' relevant work
experience
* have the practical skills and relevant qualifications for: tree
felling, tractor driving, pesticide use, fencing, livestock management
* be an excellent communicator
* have an excellent knowledge of countryside issues
* be enthusiastic and self-motivated
A clean driving licence is essential.
A current recognised first aid certificate is desirable as well as a good
understanding and experience of Health & Safety.
A CRB check will be undertaken for this role.
Salary: circa £18,000 pa plus 3% pension contribution
