The rails in the Ratgoed valley were lifted around 1953. Those linking Aberllefenni Quarry to the cutting sheds were lifted in the early 1980s. Richard ...
Thanks Richard - very comprehensive - I last wandered up the Ratgoed Valley in the late 70s - I can't recall if 'rail' operations were still taking place.
We have a very nice model of Aberllefenni in the Museum, which (apart from a non-existent window on my house !) is pretty accurate in terms of dimensions. The
