At present the only air-braked diesel on the Corris is 6. What
happens when it is unavailable for use? None of the TR diesels are
used on passenger trains regularly, but they are all airbrake-fitted
so that they can be when needed, like last Friday when No. 3 expired
coming into Abergynolwyn, requiring diesel assistance from No. 10 and
substitution in the afternoon by No. 1 (and making my day rather
interesting)! Fortunately No. 4 is behaving herself and was running
very well on Monday.

fitting air brakes has been discussed in the past and I stumbled upon
that loco and remembered one of the problems when it was previously
discussed was if space could be found to fit it onto No5.
