Coventry Observer - 21/9/06
ANIMALS Asia Foundation will be represented at an event for vegetarians and animal lovers on September 30 at the Friends Meeting House in Hill Street.
Coventry Veggies and Vegans have organised the free event which will include talks and films about animal issues, such as factory farming, vegetarianism, animal research and animals in captivity and a veggie cookery demonstration.
People can attend as many or as few talks as they like.
The talks are combined with a Cruelty-Free Autumn Fair, where people can buy animal and cruelty free products – chocolates, sweets, toiletries, cosmetics, soft toys, veggie cookery books, clothes and jewellery.
Organisations include Animal Aid, the Dr Hadwen Humane Research Trust, Animals Asia, the Captive Animal Protection Society and Farm Animal and Wildlife Sanctuaries will be represented.
