Mary Ann Cuzner (nee Bendle) secondly married Henry White my GG Grandfather 13 Jan 1881 at Marston Bigot - they lived at Brookover Farm, nr Spring Gardens but he died Jun 1884. Mary Ann remained at Brookover Farm but then married again to James Thorburn Mar Qtr 1894 but he died before 1891 when she was again a widow. James daughter by his first marriage to Emily Hamilton?, Isabella Hamilton Thorburn married Mary Ann's brother Francis Bendle Jun Qtr 1893. So Mary Ann lost three husbands and her only child. She was much loved by her White stepchildren and her (tongue in cheek) advice "always marry for love, just love where the money is" has been passed down the generations. I have a photo of her somewhere. My grandfather visited her in Frome in 1914 -about 70 years later my parents visited Frome and quite by accident ended up staying at what we later found out was her old home and the place my grandfather had visited her at.
