Hi all

Cardiff Friends of the Earth have just started a online petition to
ask the Council to keep the cycle route across Bute Park open until
the early evening in the winter. They're also asking for lighting to
be installed to make it safer.

This would provide a handy east-west link for cyclists and walkers
in the winter, avoiding the dodgy Blackweir route and congested
Castle Bridge.

But the main benefit is that it would shave 5 minutes off the
journey to Cycle Cardiff meetings from my Lakeside mansion. If an
extra 5 minutes of me each month doesn't persuade you then I fear
nothing will ;-)
