Hi,
I have been writing letters trying to get improvements for cyclists.
For anyone who hasn't cycled on Woodville Road for a while because it
was a shambles - it's been re-surfaced and is now great. Its a good
link from Cathays to Roath without having to spend time on nasty,
narrow, parked on, dangerous Crwys Road. Not sure that was anything
to do with my letters !
Roads officer, Guy Weinzweig, has committed to fixing the bumps under
the railway bridge on St Andrews place at Senghenyyd Road. I'm pretty
confident that this is actually a direct consequence of my letters.
"St Andrews Place under the bridge
I can confirm that the above site has been inspected and that orders
have been raised for the necessary work to be carried out within the
next twenty-eight days, weather permitting."
After letters from Richard Nelmes (CCC), this area was 'repaired' in
2002 in such a way that made it worse so lets hope that they do a
better job this time. I've responded to them in that regard.
I have asked Lou Lusardi to put cycle parking facilities on City Road.
