Ok
Reminder first - Write-ins Bar Lisi, every Wednesday during November, 6-9pm, turn up when you like though.
Kick-off, I'm leaning towards not arranging one for Derby as I'm at work quite a lot and don't have the evenings spare. But, if you do want one, let me know. I will be attending the Nottingham one, which will most likely be the last Saturday of October upstairs at the Malt Cross in Nottingham if anyone else wants to come along.
NaNoWriMo rules:
1) Do NOT start writing your novel yet. You can start 00:01am on 1st November not before. (You can, however, do as much planning as you like. ;-) )
2) Novels must be novels. No short story collections, no non-fiction.
3) At write-ins, no talking during word wars. (re: write-ins, these are free to attend, NaNo is free to take part in. There will be a collection pot at each session for any voluntary donations. Anything collected will be donated to the Young Writers Program)
4)Write like crazy for thirty days. If you write 50,000 words of fiction
by midnight, local time, November 30th, you will be added to our
hallowed Winner's Page, and receive a handsome winner's certificate and
web icon. The adding of your name to the Honor Roll of Winners requires
that you send in a version of your novel in text format (scrambled for
security) to our site to be counted.
5) Have fun
Finally, the 2007 NaNoWriMo site is now up and running. Go to http://www.nanowrimo.org/ to sign up. http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/233 is our section of it so do come and introduce yourself.
