I offered at the last meeting to my talk, Practical Advice for Writers, on the 5th. It's a talk I put together for writing groups that I'll be touring around- got bookings in Lincoln and Lichfield so far. Hopefully it'll be useful for everyone to hear plus I'd love to get some feedback on it if poss. I'm still well up for that if people in the group are...

Hopefully we have a few new members starting Scribes after last nights
Showcase. (Thank you Dan, Rich and Cilente for doing readings)
There will be an extra session this month on the 29th for anyone able
to attend. Introductions, meet and greet and some sort of workshop run
by Dan and myself.
The following session, 5th November... Ideas for this session are
appreciated. We can either have a themed session as it's Guy Fawkes or
if anyone knows of a firework display, we could make it a social.
And a quick p.s. for those doing NaNo. Don't forget to go sign up
ready for the launch. For those who have tried to when the site was
going extra slow, all hiccups with the [insert technical jargon] issue
have been resolved and the top staff are just ironing out the last few
creases such as promoting the new MLs and demoting the retired ones.
