Hi Julie
I think you have confirmed what I suspect caused the problem. Me and hubby went
to America for a family wedding for a week and my parent house sat the 2 dobes.
They look after them well but dont really understand the subtleties. I think
that because Alpha leader wasnt there and the fact they just let the dogs do
what they wanted, play all the time, run riot etc, things got a bit out of hand.
We are taking things one step at a time to get things back on an even keel.
They all do basic obedience too and we practice NILIF as well.

I spend all my time with them and it soon becomes second nature picking up on
their body language, they do regard me as the alpha in the pack which enables me
to stop any niggles that might develop. MY girls get on just fine together and
my two younger males are always kept with their own group of girls so they dont
fall out about females. Most of all they listen to me and I have never allowed
aggressive behaviour to develop between them. They get plenty of free excersice
in their own paddocks and they get fed well on a natural diet, the boys are used
at stud regularly so I suppose that I have removed most things that they could
get upset about. They all have basic obedience in place from puppy socialization
classes up to adult classes. It is just getting the balance right I think.

time work LOL. How do they all get on together? I have been having problems
with Stella not getting on with Neo - so bad that we have had to separate them
for the last few months. She is a very dominant bitch and kept attacking Neo. I
have spoken to lots of people at shows and many of them seem to have similar
problems.

current show team. Full time work but love every moment of it.
