Hi Jackie,
Thank you for sharing your experiences/views on this, I really appreciate it:-))
I really did enjoy reading your post, your boy sounds exactly how I would
describe Nico, especially the Vocal part!! I lost count how many times in the
past other dog walkers use to scream at me, that Nico was attacking and killing
their dog, when he started his vocal routine.
I had to laugh at the slipper comment due to mine being used only just a few
minutes ago - it did stop Nico (5 yr. male), he looked at me with an expression
like "what are you doing, are you mad????", but as far as Kayla(11 wks) goes,
she through I was joining in, so grabbed it and ran off!!!
Regarding my original play question, I would say 9/10 times its Nico who's
getting hurt more than Kayla - she just loves to chew on his neck and ears and
doesn't give up and all Nico wants to do at the moment is lick her until she's
soaking.LOL
Sharon

hi sharon,
this is hard as the dog only wants to play but dobermann play always
ends in tears lol they get too rough, one hurts the other then they
squabble.
if the puppy isnt intimiated for frightened by your boy then let them
carry on,if you see that he is hurting her or frightening her then you
ill have to step in and merely put a stop to play.
my boy is the same he can dish it out and really plays rough and its
very vocal so much so you cant hear the TV his talking when he plays
is unbearable.he dishes it out to my dachs but when my dachs gives it
back he cant take it and they start bickering ,not fighting but a lot
of telling off by both then they get the slipper thrown at them and
then its calm and snoozes again lol.
