im back from work back in lancaster on monday night. i was wondering
if anyone wants to meet up before hand .i missed the film last sunday
due to work.im quite a film buff so it would be nice to chat to people
who are into there movies too .

Me and my friend Deb are coming tomorrow so it'll be nice to meet
everyone's who's coming, especially that American girl who posted the

I wasn't there last night - I went on Friday.

I found the constant to-ing and fro-ing a bit confusing as well.  In
the end I just gave up trying to work it all out, which made me feel
a bit distant from the film.

Another puzzling thing was the gaping hole in the film where the War
was in real life.  To do a film of Piaf's life and to simply excise
the Second World War suggests that the director couldn't be bothered
to deal with it.

the film group?
Think I agreed with the reviewer that lots of good stuff but always jumping
too fast backwards and forwards in time and confusing sometimes even if you
know a bit about Piaf's life (as I do).

do come up with some ideas.  I'd like to see the Piaf film but I'm doing something else tonight and away Thurs and Fri - anyone want to see it on Saturday 8 p.m.?  Red Doors and Amnesia next week look good too  (Does the Dukes do 'Orange Wednesdays'?).  At some film clubs on Yahoo I've noticed they just choose a day and a time and go and see whatever random film is on that night and then discuss it - that way they get to see all kinds of things they wouldn't normally see.
