Description
A group to help those who suffer long term depression, sometimes known as Dysthymia or Dysthymic Disorder. We welcome suffer's, there families, Health Professionals and anyone interested in Depression.
Meet other suffer's, chat, support, give experience on things that help you, but above all help suffer's get back to full health, please be aware though we are not doctors so medical advice should not be sort or given.
Depression can be a bad illness, however as shown on the right, recovery is possible. Some of the posts on this site give day to day experiences of members cope with depression, but also give support to those who are down and understanding to move forward hopefully to a better future.
This group is intended to aid recovery, and is run in conjunction with a website the link is below. I myself was diagnosed with Dysthymia in 1996, I had not heard of the illness, however as I researched into the name it became clear that I had likely had the illness from infancy. I hope the experiences and support of group members can help other sufferers combat the illness.
