Has anyone tried to fill in the city council's online consultation about the proposed land sell off on the cycle path? I spent ages on it, and then when I tried to submit it my browser said there was no such page to submit it to. I rang the council about it and a man in consultations said it worked fine, so I tried another browser, still no joy and then got a friend to have a go as well. She couldn't submit her questionnaire either.
Please have a go and if you get nowhere, ring the council and ask for the consultations department. I'm not saying it's fishy, but with only 25 days til the consultation ends, we can't afford to waste time being unable to submit answers.
Also if you do fill it in I suggest you copy your comments into a separate document, or you may lose the lot if you can't submit your questionnaire.
Aside from that, i thought the consultation questions were very skewed, eg. 'everything should be done to give cyclists and pedestrians access to the cycle path'. If you answer 'strongly agree' to that, then 'everything' includes giving houses on the chocolate factory site direct access to the cycle path and a good reason to sell Square Peg the land. It's worth thinking hard before you answer the questions, and if you're not sure, leave it blank and explain why in the comments section.
