People should know that a main sponsor of the big lunch is EDF, owner of coal-fired power stations and a major force behind the expansion of nuclear power trhoughout the UK. Another case of greenwash perhaps?
Not a reason to abandon street parties, or the concept of reclaiming public space- perhaps a reason to question affiliation with the big lunch, or at least discuss reasons why someone like EDF would want to sponsor an event like this...
