Hi Jen - Laura Hamilton, from BCFM, rang to find out about the plans for
the station. She's seen quite a bit of correspondence on Easton Yahoo
about the establishment of a cafe on the site. There appears to be some
local snottiness about more capuccino venues. As soon as Laura knew that
Eastside Roots is "connected" to Bristol Permaculture Group and a cafe may
be developed alongside the garden centre, she thought it would be good to
allay local trepidation by getting the facts straight on the radio. She
does a Fri. 5-7pm news and current affairs slot and wonders if you would
speak on it. I've given her Sarah Collins' contact info as well, so she
can update on developments of the train service. I said you may wish to
wait until the contract with Network Rail is signed - on the other hand it
may be good to get the facts straight so Network Rail doesn't get to freak
about a storm in a teacup. I didn't know whether you're happy for me to
