I have already dropped off some apples- not sure they are safe- behind lock up- covered kind of- will need more apples- there are loads on Petes allotment site- I have vehicle and have spotted others as well- need help picking it- best next week couple of afternoons? have lost my mobile so ring me land line- 9553959

Centre on October 20.

Bristol's Green Future: Local Community Projects To Transform Our City

Saturday 20 October 2007

A celebration of local action, and the power of Bristol communities.
Workshops will tackle transport, education, the transition movement,
community growing and housing. There wll also be apple pressing, a
photography exhibition and much more.

Groups and speakers due to take part include Transition Bristol, Green
Party Principal Speaker Derek Wall, Friends of Bristol Suburban
Railway, Sustrans, Greenbank Chocolate Box, Green councillor Charlie
Bolton, local home educators, and Eastside Roots Community Garden Centre.

Programme of events

10.45: Coffee and Cake

11.15: Introduction

11.30: Workshops: on community growing, transport, local politics

12.30: Lunch (delicious cheap environmental eats)

2.00-2.30: Derek Wall – Principal Speaker of the Green Party

2.30-3.30: Workshops: on Transition City Bristol, planning & housing,
education

3.30: Conclusion: Where do we go from here?

3.45: Close

Plus loads of fun green activities throughout – a day for all the family.
Admission:
£3 (£1.50 unwaged), under 18s free. Come to all or any bit you want!

The Trinity Centre, Trinity Road , Bristol BS2 0NW

The Trinity Centre is ten minutes walk from Temple Meads train station
and the city centre, a stone's throw from the Bristol-Bath cycle path,
and served directly by the following Bristol buses: 4, 6, 7, 24, 36,
41, 43, 44, 45 (plus the 332 from Bath ). Or get the 1, 8, 9 or 54
and walk 5 mins from Old Market.
