Eastside roots Minutes 1/11/07
Attended: Sam W, Alex W, Pete L, Jen B and Tom

Matters arising and feedback:
Sam- feeds back minutes and action from previous Gen Meet (gm).
Sam –feedback from CDA meeting with Shereene. Petty cash advice on
setting up system and other finance systems, Sam to action.

Jenny- We need to set up meet with BEST to meet Claire-Louise / hand
over from Liz, Jen to action.

What next with regard to station? – Community meeting, group discuss
and conclude we need more time to plan and implement well. Maybe to
wait until someone in post (Dec?)

Man with a Van- Sam knows someone- wed 7th to pick up more things
from temp meads, Sam to action. Alex to call Sarah Collins.

Sam to contact Rach – pick up policies and funding work, deregister
as director and suggest leaving doo.

Apple day was a great success, well done Pete and Mike! Pete to
invoice secretary (Sam).

TRINITY
Tom- feedsback from Fundraising meet with Paul from FED, v. helpful,
many ideas eg TUDOR, Awards for All – good to test they will fund co-
ops. Tom and Jen to contact and look into this.

Possible idea- to use the SPAN funds (there is more to come, paul to
let us know how much) to pay one-off fees for people to carry out
required paper work for business plans and funding bids, everyone
agrees this would be a good idea. £50 / day suggested for a few days
work.
Paul (SPAN /FED) and BEST and Sams brother Joe can check any bids
written.

Tom- petty cash really needed, Sam and Alex confirm £500 in account
to spend on `anything', some can be used for petty cash.
Jen- receipt book to give Tom and Pete for selling plants to people ,
one for our records and part to give to customer.
Sam suggests carbon copy style needed, will try and find one.
Important-Any money received needs to go to Sam with a record of
what sold and how much, date and who sold to if poss.

Tom and Pete- Compost needed – `Timberland' suggested £120 for
trailer load

Sam- to give back Mikes £50 from last compost order `change'

Alex – Scarman funds and Shelter- £175 needed to spend ASAP then the
next amount can be released (£300) total= £475 to spend on a shelter.

Pete and Tom to ask `Rich' who is to build shelter to visit Gordon rd-
we want a shelter like theirs cuz its great!!

Wood, for shelter -Need to source, TREE LIFE, SKIPs, WOOD RECYCLING
PROJECT?
Material list and budget needed.

Hose needed, seep for poly T
Suggestion: Use fund (£175) for hose (seep) and protection for hose
going across car park (sml ramps), compost, another water butt? Etc-
To use quick and make up the amt for shelter through other funds.

Water butt, needs cleaning- iodine??
Alex- to look into seep hose cost.
Tom and Jen to work out length needed next wed (7th nov)

Discussion around this had, some feel un sure about people working
for project who don't want to be there- more information on how this
works needed.

Check insurance cover (OVAL) Jen to call
Set date to Meet Claire – Louise and invite Paul to this meeting,
Suggest meeting between 4 and 6 on any day. Jen to email.
