Minutes 26/02/07
6-8pm

Meeting held at Trinity Arts Centre after a Monday workday.

Attended by:
Sam, Pete, Rachel, Alex, Jenny

A tour of the garden preceded the meeting to get everyone up to
speed with what has been achieved so far and what needs to be done.

Items discussed during the time in the Garden included:

1 Compost loo –needs Finishing. Steps and collection `pit' needs
finishing, materials needed: chicken wire for the base, pallets, loo
seat (Katy?) plastic to line the seat `box'.

2 Water Butt – More needed, and more pipe for overflow Thanks to
Fred for fixing the current one! (Sam to look on freecycle for
another one)

3 Sleepers –Make use of ASAP for pref 2 long raised beds nr entrance
and earth gen sign

4 Paths –Wood chip (council or ask Lisa?- jen to do this)

5 Herb Spiral –Build one! Sam(?) poss in Centre of raised bed circle?

6 Permaculture students design course design! - possibly forest
garden or moon garden or other. The project could `target' a desired
group or help with Promotion to increase volunteers. Radio adverts
mentioned.

7 Nature Signs and Blackboard info sign- Need finishing (Leanne?
Nicky?-Sam)

8 Volunteers – Academy? –Contact BTCV NICK about this!

The following items need finishing but need to be confirmed with
TRINITY Steering Group First (meet Wednesdays)
9 COMPOST BAYS – Existing ones would be good to store council leaf
mould, poss move them round so they face car park-easy access for
tractor delivery. General bays needed in garden, build nr the
compost loo.

10 POND
11 Hedge/ fence – to screen rd? reconsider with Trinity
12 Fire Pit
13 make a new map to show these things to trinity.(sam)

Minutes:
-Sam suggested a diary with an `ongoing list' so that volunteers can
refer to this every time they work. Write down what has just been
done and what needs doing next. (This has been started, diary to be
found in the lock up)

-public notice board (black board has already been made for this)-
for list of things going on for passers by to see, logo needed for
this, ask Shelly?

-notice on Easton residents notice board would be a good idea, jenny?

-CDA, unable to attend again today, Sam to follow up and arrange to
meet Brian before next meeting with them. NEXT MEETING WILL BE MON
12th MARCH 5pm with CDA (and Paul from FED-jen to ask).

-Email Mel about this meet and arrange to go to a steering group
meeting which they hold every weds at 11am. Suggested date- 21st
march, take a revised map along. Jen, , ?

-Sam and Alex- revise map then make a large display one?

-COMPOST BAY workshop – Pete will lead 10 -5pm, ask Fred to do
Wormery wrkshp too? (jen) Finance discussed, agreed to offer £40 to
workshop leaders out of new SPAN funding. Materails needed- ask Fred
about if he does wormery, pallets and fence posts (Bradley stoke
have some?)needed for bays. Ask Lisa if she can get some in her Van!

-Yahoo name change, sam

-Flea market- phone Alexa, find out April date.

-Workday Mondays, discussed, decided this is still a good idea.

-Agendas, do more often for meetings

-Bringing some money in, start charging for workshops discussed.
Next workshop (compost bay build, 31st mar) charge £2. We will aim
to include a membership charge by the time we do a workshop for,
the `Easton arts trail'. E.g -To take part people will need to be a
member. Suggested membership cost of £1 (like at the CUBE). People
will then receive a card and will need to bring along when they do a
workshop in the future to avoid the initial £1 charge again. Then on
top of this the workshop cost (eg £2) will need to be paid.

Recap on important dates for your diary!:

12th March- Meeting with CDA (Brian) and SPAN (FED, Paul) at the
Trinity 5pm

21st March meet with trinity steer group 11am (tbc)

31st March, Compost Loo building Workshop 10-5pm

End of June weekend, Easton Arts Trail
