Aims and Objectives
To act as a focal point for community gardening in Easton (Bristol ).
To raise awareness of organic gardening, community inclusion and therapeutic horticulture.
To help
meet the need of those living in and around Easton by:
Establishing a not for profit community co-operative garden centre in Easton .
Establishing and supporting the development of satellite community gardens and local food growing initiatives in the area.
Deliver training for local people and organise / attend events in support of the above.
Membership Criteria
Constitution to refer to "employee" as "employee or volunteer" throughout the document throughout
To become Co-op member, 3 month probationary period for volunteers, a contribution of 10 hours working time per month (practical, meetings, admin etc), mebers to attend minimum quarterly meetings (or equivalent number ie 3 meetings per year)
Profit
Agreed that profit would go into general reserve of co-op and not to co-op members as dividend - clause 62, part (b) to be taken out
Asset lock
Agreed that assets would go to like minded community organisations if co-op wound up, but unsure if we need to amend anything in constitution - can you advise on this please?
