Hi everyone,

The minutes from the last Garden Centre meeting, held at Trinity
earlier in August, can now be viewed on the following link:

http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/eastoncommunitygardencentre/files/

During the meeting, we identified some of the things that need
people to volunteer to do - don't be shy, if you want to do any of
them! :
* Research on what tools we need and where would be most suitable to
buy them from (BTCV were suggested, as were HDRA, who may give us a
discount)
* Someone to ask Nick from BTCV if we would be able to borrow tools
for the furniture making workshop
* Research / identify suitable way of sharing books and other info
relating to the Garden Centre – is there a suitable office/building
that would let us use some space? There are already some ideas for
this – speak to Jen for more info
* Please email any suggestions you have for what we could spend the
rest of the grant funding from the Scarman Trust on. There is
approx. £1,300 remaining, which must be spent by the end of the
year. Email your suggestions to me (Indiadele@...), and
I'll put them all together to be discussed at the next meeting in
September.
* Also, have a read through the minutes, and then let us know what
areas of the Garden Centre you'd like to be involved with. Again,
either email the group or me to let us know, ideally before the next
meeting.

Think that's it for now. See you all soon,

Adele
