Prices changes now amended on our main websites Eastbourne Folk dance
Club (and Sussex Folk dancer), and those on myspace, facebook and East
Sussex County Council.

At our Annual General Meeting on the 2nd October 2008, our annual
membership fee was increased from £1.00 to £2.00. The entrance fee on
club nights was increased from £1.50 to £2.00 for members, and a price
of £2.50 was agreed for club members.
These prices were increased because of an increase in the weekly rent
for the hall from £24 to £30 and in order to make the income from club
nights cover the costs of the night, and make a greater contribution
towards the clubs overhead costs.

P.S. I will revise our various websites to reflect these changes
I noticed early this morning that, although their was no mention of the price in the centre fold of forthcoming dances, there was a block advert of the dance on the second page in Sussex Pie giving the price of £5.00.
I then phoned Moira and she said we would have to leave the price at £5.00 this year because of this. She also mentioned that she had received phone calls from folk dancers who had seen this advert.

I recently was given a DVD of this event, and I am experimenting to see
if I can add this to the web. I have placed in in the Files Section
and Pat and Fred folder.
It now works on my computer. Can members post me a message back if it
