Thanks for that. I don't actually know how I got on this e mail list as this was the first l;oad of e mails I have received from it...
I also didn't know there was a different list although was on it for a while when there were a few e mails about Hamilton Hall and I was astounded and absolutely gobsmacked at the support and praise offered for myself, Hamilton Hall and what I am doing here, by the membership. It brought a tear to my eye...
Thanks for enlightening me.
If you'd like a weekend with a friend for B&B as my guest when we are not quite so busy, it would be my pleasure...
Have you ever been to Bournemouth ?
In Peace

That is for people who have attended ECC events and so are aware of ECC and how it works. That is where - in your words - our intimate and 'in house' e mails - are sent, not here.Hope this helps clear it up for you.Dave.-----Original Message-----

Subject: Re: [ecc-public-discuss] Dealing with spamThankyou for sorting out the dreaded spam mailings we were receiving. I wasn't aware that membership of this e mail group was open to everyone who wanted to join without moderator intervention or being a member of the ECC itself. That's what I had always been told and was for our protection against such things. Do we want just anyone reading our intimate and 'in house' e mails sent through this group or is it to be kept private and 'in house' just for the membership of ECC ?I'm so glad not to be receiving thoe dreaded e mails any more.John Bellamy

Sorry about the recent spate of spam.
I think it was clear from the group description that the multiple
advertising being sent was not within what the group was intended for
and I have removed the relevant member.
In order to make it easier for people to join the group membership was
previously set to Open (anyone can join); I have changed it so that
membership now requires approval.
