Sounds ideal although probably extremly hard to run as ego's and attitude all too often get in the way. I have a friend who was raised from childhood in a community of over 70 people in Australia - straight / gay / black / white / buddhist / christian and an assortment of labels, and from his experience it was wonderful although fraught with problems. It took weekly meetings over the years o sort any problems that cropped up and there were often arguments and problems and some pulled out while others stayed to fight it out. If you get just one with a gripe it can cause untold harm within the community, and I think we have all seen this at one time or another and how it only takes one person to ruin it for a lot of others, and let's face it, there's always one... isn't there ?
Good luck with your search although I wouldn't be holding your breath if I was you. Anyway, what's wrong with your own company - when you find your own self worth and contentment within , then the need for company is reduced. It's always great to have friends etc. who visit, but it's also nice when they leave... ( he he he ) and you get your own space back again..... and you can fart while watching TV and not have to worry... he he he
Happy weekend.

I mean an environment which allows the individual to stop being obsessed with finding "someone special". I mean who needs a boyfriend as a solution to your loneliness when you can have daily sharing with a more or less large group of people around? See my point?

Well I think there are plenty of (substantially) gay households
around. Whether they would count as communities or not is moot.
What does count as a "community"?

on a regular basis somewhere in the British Isles, or somewhere else.
