Thanks for your info.
How does 680x rate? I read the EC12 is a bit deaf on the higher freq. due to using germanium transistors?

They made HF RXs fom 1925 to 2002. Naturally the last (6200) was the best (!). Otherwise the EC 958 (solid state) was considered the best they made. But valve type, the 830/7 is considered the best or EA12 for hambands only. Examine the details on website in Quick Reference Guide. All post war sets (especially valves) are good build quality.Best regards, graeme Wormald, G3GGL.----- Original Message -----From: DlakeSent: Monday, September 18, 2006 8:53 AMSubject: [SPAM] [eddystone_radio_users] Best Eddystone ModelHello AllJust wondering, which Eddystone model is regarded the best for reception of DX signals on HF and also in regards to build quality.cheers
